Mrs. Margie B. Williams

Mrs. Margie B. Williams, 81, passed away on March 19, 2024, at her residence in Cedar Bluff. Mrs. Margie was born on March 18, 1943, in Clay County, to the late Albert Ellis and Marie Sanders Blankenship. Margie was a homemaker and she loved to cook. She was an avid and accomplished vegetable and flower gardener. She was a caring person, who loved everyone. Most importantly, she was a Godly woman. She was a member of Cedar Bluff Methodist Church, but attended Cedar Bluff Baptist Church. She married Tom Neal Williams on February 19, 1961, in West Point. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Samuel, three sisters, Frankie Parker, Joyce Simpson, and Mamie Vest, and three brothers, Charles Ellis Blankenship, William Raymond Blankenship, and Albert Ellis Blankenship. Graveside services will be on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. from Cedar Bluff Methodist Cemetery in Cedar Bluff with Reverend Junior Davis officiating. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Tom Neal Williams of Cedar Bluff: three daughters, Janice Marie Williams of Clarksville, Tennessee, Lee Ann Turk (Darwin) of Columbus, and Sarah Williams Whitt (Bubba) of West Point: two sons, Jeffery Williams of Cedar Bluff and Tommy Christopher Williams (Sheila) of Maben: ten grandchildren, Adam Burges (Alyssa) of West Monroe, Louisiana, Jordan Pennington (Bri) of Peoria, Illinois, Alexis Pennington (Justin) Carterville, Illinois, Daniel Bodry (Sierra) of Caledonia, Abby Whitt of West Point, Sara Kayte Benson (Brandon) of Hamilton, Jaiden Whitt (Tanner) of West Point, Jeremy Lee Williams of West Point, Dusty Cheyenne Miller (Johnny) of Hamilton, and Thomas Williams (Kaitlyn) of Beaverton, Oregon. twenty-two great grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Higginbotham (Kenneth) and Beverly White (Billy), both of West Point, one brother, John Blankenship (Virginia) of Cedar Bluff, a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended of family, and two honorary daughters, Karen Estes of Northport, Alabama and Shelley Pitts of Cedar Bluff. Pallbearers will be Adam Burges, Jeremy Williams, Jordan Pennington, Daniel Bodry, Caiden Benson, and Carter Whitt. Honorary Pallbearers will be her many friends in the Cedar Bluff Community.
