Mr. Marshall Wayne Miller

Mr. Marshall Wayne Miller, 73, passed away on February 17, 2018, at his home in West Point. Mr. Marshall Wayne was born May 20, 1944, in West Point, the son of the late Arthur Hill and Zora Nolan Miller. He was a member of West End Baptist Church in West Point. He was a welder and crane operator at Babcock & Wilcox for 30 years before retirement. His favorite past time was to grow okra and give it away. Marshall Wayne married Louise Miller on June 15, 1963, in Hamilton, MS, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a number of sisters and brothers. Funeral services will be Monday, February 19, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. from West End Baptist Church in West Point with Reverend Roy Myers officiating and assisted by Dr. James A. Jones. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include His Wife Louise Miller of West Point; One Son, Tony Miller (Rhonda) of Hamilton, AL; Five Grandchildren: Benjamin Miller of Hamilton, AL, Seth Miller of Hamilton, AL, Madison Miller of Hamilton, AL, Katie Clark of Oakman, AL, and Haley Brown of Winfield, AL; and by Two Great Granddaughters: Lainey Kate Clark of Oakman, AL and Chloe Brown of Winfield, AL. Five Sisters, Mildred Johnson of Oakdale, LA, Vivian Crouch of Mountain City, TN, Inez Martin of Okolona, MS, Emma Jean Stewart of California, Ella Fay Wilson of Greenville, MS; and One Brother, C. E. Miller of Perry, FL and a number of Nieces and Nephews. Pallbearers will be Dannye Crouch, Billy Crouch, Bobby Blackwell, Donald Wilson, Mike Savage, and Wayne Plunkett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Former Employees of Babcok & Wilcox, His Many Friends at West End Baptist Church, Nurses and Staff of North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice, Dr. Ned Miller, His Nurse: Joy Veazey, and His Caregivers: Betty Jefferson, Joyce Lucious, and Jean Morton.
