Mrs. Maudine Fowler

Mrs. Maudine Fowler, 94, passed away on October 13, 2023, at Waverly Care Home in West Point. She was born July 10, 1929, in Eupora. She was a clerk and door greeter at Walmart in West Point for a number of years. Mrs. Maudine loved to read. She loved sending birthday cards, but she especially loved sending "get well" cards to her friends that were sick. She was a loyal and faithful member of West End Baptist Church. She married James Walter Fowler on February 18, 1956, in West Point and he passed away December 8, 2016. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Maudine was preceded in death by her two daughters, Cathy Kelley and Amy Kinsey and by two brothers, James and Tom Morrow. Funeral services will be Monday, October 16, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Towery officiating and assisted by Mr. Mike Pearson. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Fowler of Blue Springs; five grandchildren: Ashley Kelley of Enid, OK, Sierra O'Neal (Justin) of Foley, AL, Aaron Kelley of Enid, OK, April Gardner (Austin) of Chattanooga, TN, and Lauren Kinsey (Zach Kirby) of Ocalla, FL; four great grandchildren: Logan Schoenholtz of Enid, OK, Brooklyn O'Neal, Brynlee O'Neal, and Beckham O'Neal all of Foley, AL; two sons-in-Law: Joe Kelley of Enid, OK, and Mark Kinsey (Angela) of Lafayette, TN; Sister-in-law: Ruth Fowler of West Point; Brother-in-law: Joe Fowler (Janice) of West Point; Her faithful Canine Companion Tim and her faithful Canine Companion Grand-dogs: Benji, Brody, Trooper, and Miss Demeanor. Pallbearers will be Mike Pearson, Lance Portera, Jimmy Edwards, Charles Elliott, Steve Woolbright, and Greg Ross. Honorary Pallbearers will be Nurses and Staff of Waverly Care Home, Nurses and Staff of Enhabit Hospice, Lucy Kelley, Bonita Baity, Latonya Orr, Angela Orr, Mary Gibson, and Linda Sullivan.
