Patsy S. Hill

Patsy S. Hill, 68, passed away on April 19, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Patsy was born September 7, 1954, in Houston, the daughter of the late O'Neal and Mary Grace Montgomery Hill. Patsy retired from Babcock and Wilcox Corporation in West Point after having worked there for 31 years. She was a loyal and faithful member of First Baptist Church in West Point, where she was a member of the Mike Simmons Sunday School Class. At First Baptist Church, Patsy was a member of the Flower Committee, Forever Young, and enjoyed participating and helping with Vacation Bible School. As part of being a loyal and faithful member of First Baptist Church, Patsy thoroughly enjoyed visiting church members who were home-bound and couldn't attend church. She enjoyed completing wordsearch. However, her greatest enjoyment came from her family. She loved her family. In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her Step-Father, George Hurt; her Brother, Roger N. Hill, and her Nephew, Toby Taylor. Funeral services will be Monday, April 24, 2023, at 11:00 AM from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dale Funderburg officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include her two sisters, Linda Taylor (Willie) of West Point and Carol Lucius (Donnie) of Senatobia; three nephews: Todd Taylor (Stephanie) of Spokane, WA, Cory Lucius (Jamie) of Starkville, and Brandon Lucius (Amy Lauren) of Ringgold, GA; five Great Nieces: Bryn Taylor of Spokane, WA, Ann Ivy Lucius of Starkville, Emma Kate, Rosemary, and Violet Lucius all of Ringgold, GA; five Great Nephews: Jax Taylor of Spokane, WA, Lyndon and Camm Lucius both of Starkville, Noble and Owen Lucius both of Ringgold, GA; two Aunts, Clara Hampton of West Point and Sue Thomas of Spokane, WA; and one Uncle, Sammie McNeel (Jennie) of West Point. Pallbearers will be Willie Taylor, Donnie Lucius, Todd Taylor, Cory Lucius, Brandon Lucius, and Winston Way. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Bill Overstreet, Keith Hall, Bud Bowen, Don Searcy, Tracy McKee, Julian Patton, Past and Present Co-Workers at Babcock & Wilcox, Mike Simmons Sunday School Class at First Baptist, Nurses & Staff of North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Reverend Ray Spence, and Reverend Andy Parrish.
