Mrs. Sandy Henley

Mrs. Sandy Henley, 67, passed away on January 5, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. Sandy was born September 23, 1949, in New York, NY, the daughter of Jack Joseph and Ramona Marie Burgos Neglio. Sandy worked as a trainer at Big Yank in West Point. She later was a Supervisor in the sewing department at Haas Outdoors. Additionally, Sandy was an avid and accomplished seamstress. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in West Point. At First United Methodist Church, Sandy was the President of her Sunday School Class, The Friendly Fellowship Sunday School Class and was a member of the choir. She was also very active in the mission work at First United Methodist Church, where she served several times at Beautiful Feet Ministries in Fort Worth, TX. She also participated in mission trips to Mexico. She was the Chairman of the "Adopt a Family Project" for First United Methodist Church. Sandy enjoyed playing bunko with a group from First United Methodist Church. Sandy was "Mimi" and "Aunt Sandy" to numerous people in our community. She was preceded in death by her Sister-in-Law: Elizabeth Thrasher. Memorial services will be January 8, 2017, at 4:00 P.M. from First United Methodist Church with Reverend Darian Duckworth officiating and assisted by Reverend Jeff Shannon. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include Husband Tommy Henley of West Point; Three Daughters, Tanya Renee Rutan of New Zealand, Melody Kliewer of Opelika, AL, and Cassidy Bodry (Danny) of Opp, AL; Three Sons, Ronnie Michael King, Jr. (Tracy) of Starkville, Tucker Henley (Tory) of West Point, and Jeff Henley of Opp, AL: Nine Grandchildren; Her Father Jack Neglio (Pat) of Bethel, CT and her Mother Ramona Burgos Moore of Tampa, FL; Two Brothers: Johnny Neglio (Debbie) of Tampa, FL and Tony Neglio of Danbury, CT; Brother-in-Law: Sammy Henley (Jan) of West Point and a number of nieces and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Friendly Fellowship Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church and all her friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 293, West Point, MS 39773 or to Dugan Memorial Home, P. O. Box 698, West Point, MS 39773.
