Mrs. Sarah Lucille Watson

Mrs. Sarah Lucille Watson, 78, passed away, on February 28, 2016, at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point. Mrs. Sarah Lucille was born February 11, 1938, in Clay County the daughter of the late Joseph Frank Chafin and Louella Langford Chafin Johnson. She was a member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church. She was a seamstress at Monte Glove and worked at Artex. She was also a CNA for Dugan Memorial Home and for Mrs. Bernie Hindman. She married Thomas Jefferson "T.J." Watson, Jr. on December 18, 1955, in West Point and he passed away April 29, 1999. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by Daughter: Peggy J. Stafford; 2 Sons: James Franklin and Thomas David "Buddy" Watson; 2 Step-Children: Nini Howe and Finley Watson; and by Sister: Louise Chafin Murdock. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at 10:00 A.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Todd Chesser officiating and assisted by Brother Wayne Doster. Burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Cedar Bluff. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include Five Daughters, Marie Lepicier (Richard) of West Point, Ann Palmer (Robert) of Maben, Dorothy Staten (Andy) of West Point, Nancy Hardin (Larry) of Eupora, and Maudie Walls (Doug) of West Point; Step-Son: John T. "Bubby" Watson (Diane) of West Point; Step-Daughter: Thomasine Bateman (Buddy) of West Point; A Number of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; 2 Nieces and 2 Nephews; Daughter-in-Law: Ann Watson of Aberdeen; 2 Sons-in-Law: Tim Stafford of West Point and Clyde Howe of New Albany. Pallbearers will be Philip Kellum, Brian Staten, Michael Staten, Eddie Chaney, Jeffery Chaney, Justin Price, Jim Price, Dewayne Bigham, Chuck Cole, Jason Bigham and Joseph Watson. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Nurses and Staff of Dugan Memorial Home, Dr. Edmund A. Miller, Dr. Brett Miller, Nurses and Staff of the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice, and Her Many Friends in both Cedar Bluff and Pheba.
