Mr. Tommy Collier

Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Collier, 67, passed away on October 9, 2024, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Tommy was born on February 20, 1957, in Ackerman, to the late Hulon and Lillian Marshall Collier. Being a Veteran of the United States Army, the military was very important to him. He served a total of 23 years, having served during Desert Storm. He worked in Heating and Air Conditioning for 40 years, having recently worked at Climate Masters in Brandon. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and especially camping with his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching westerns and football. He thoroughly enjoyed buying guns and target shooting. He was all around a kind and sweet person. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He married Vicki Fretz Collier on March 30, 2002, in West Point. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Flowood. Visitation will be Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at Calvert Funeral Home in West Point. Funeral services, with Military Honors, will follow at 11:00 A.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Terry Partin officiating. Burial will follow, at a later date, in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Vicki Collier of Brandon: one son, Chris Collier of Jacksonville, Florida: two step-sons, Mitch Whitehead (Cameron) of Nanih Waiya, and Kirt Stanley of Moosic, Pennsylvania: two grandchildren, Will and Taylor Whitehead, both of Nanih Waiya: one sister, Vicki Langley (Mike) of Columbus: three brothers, Tony Collier (Schatzi) of Columbus, Richard Collier (Shelly) of Caledonia, and Kenneth "Kenny" Collier of Steens, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family. Honorary Pallbearers will be Will Whitehead, Taylor Whitehead, Roger Ballard, Charlie Montroy, Mike Collier, Donny Collier, Keith Collier, Glenn Collier and his Co-Workers at Climate Masters.
