Mr. William E. "Bill" Cole, Sr.

Mr. William E. "Bill" Cole, Sr., 82, passed away on November 5, 2023, at his residence in Cedar Bluff. Bill was born on October 3, 1941, in Rolling Fork, to the late Harry and Blanch Sanderford Cole. Bill served in the Mississippi Army National Guard from 1959 – 1966, where he earned E-5. He enjoyed mowing the grass and feeding watching the deer outside his home. He thoroughly enjoyed reading western books and watching western movies. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Point. He married Dorothy Bock Turner Cole on June 5, 1999, in West Point. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Harry "Sonny", Jr., Wayne, Danny, and Jimmy Cole. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 8:30-10:00 A.M. at Calvert Funeral Home in West Point. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 A.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Joe Wiggins officiating and assisted by Dr. James Towery. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Bock Turner Cole of Cedar Blluff; two daughters, Nan Ramsey of Naples, Florida and Pam Hamilton of Pascagoula: one son, William E. "Eddie" Cole, Jr. (Angel) of Cumberland: one step-daughter, Tammie Foster (Craig) of West Point: two step-sons, Timmy Turner (Chrissy) of West Point and Tyler Turner of Cedar Bluff: four grandchildren, Allison Stubblefield of Bonita Springs, Florida, Lacie Cole of Ocean Springs, Lindsay Knowles (James) of Ocean Springs, and Justin Cole of Cumberland: two step-grandchildren, Kera Smith (Cody) and Abigail Miller, both of Steens: one sister, Linda Kay Jenkins (David) of Greenwood: one sister-in-law: Mary Bock Shannon (Roy) of West Point, and two brothers-in-law, Eddie Bock (Shirley) of Cedar Bluff and Tommy Bock (Patsy) of Craig Springs. Pallbearers will be Dewey Cox, John Ed Freshour, Darrell Shows, Mark Sullivan, Andy White, and John Burt Wooten. Honorary Pallbearers will be his friends at Southern Natural Gas, his many friends at Calvary Baptist Church, his many friends in the Cedar Bluff Community, Dr. Stephen Wilkerson, Joe Taggart, Phillip McCarter, Johnny Mitchell, Matthew Garcia, and Mike Brown.
