Mr. David Inman

Mr. David Inman, 96, passed away on July 18, 2023, at his residence in West Point. Mr. David was born on November 3, 1926, in Houston, to the late Vardaman and Kathleen Franklin Inman. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a "A" Fitter Welder at Babcock and Wilcox for 31 years. He was an avid and accomplished vegetable gardener. He loved to hunt and fish. He especially enjoyed sharing the gospel with his family and friends. He was a member of Caledonia United Pentecostal Church. He married Celia Marie White Inman on February 15, 1947, in Vardaman. She preceded him in death on December 26, 2014. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Eloise Smith, Kate Hardin, and Fairy Huffman and two brothers, Frank and James Inman. Visitation will be Friday, July 21, 2023, from 9:00-11:00 A.M. at Calvert Funeral Home in West Point. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Grant Mitchell officiating and assisted by Brother Rusty Reynolds. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point, Mississippi. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Judy Reynolds (Rusty) of Saltillo: one son, Larry David Inman (Rita) of Caledonia: three grandchildren, Ben Inman (Jessica) of Brentwood, Tennessee, Hunter Reynolds (Holly) of Melissa, Texas, and Cherish Knight (Phillip) of Caledonia: six great-grandchildren, Arleigh Marie and Lincoln Steel Reynolds of Melissa, Texas, Alyssa and Raylee Knight of Caledonia, and Emma and Gavin Inman of Brentwood, Tennessee: one sister-in-law, Mary Lou Boyd of Jacksonville, Florida, and one brother-in-law, J. T. White (Dean) of Columbus. Pallbearers will be Roy Cox, Brock Reynolds, George Brown, Chad McComic, David Knight, and Rick Frazier. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mr. and Mrs. James Hemphill, Mr. and Mrs. Pete O'Shea, Mr. and Mrs. George Brown, Reverend Bill Hale, Johnny McComic, Jessica Pruitt, Dr. Ned Miller and Staff, Nurses and Staff of Gentiva Hospice, and his Church Family of Caledonia United Pentecostal Church.
