Mrs. Eleanor Maude Love Craig

Mrs. Eleanor Maude Love Craig, 95, passed away on June 24, 2017, at her residence in West Point. Mrs. Eleanor was born December 22, 1921, in Starkville, the daughter of the late William Ward and Eleanor Maude Lockamy Love. She and her late husband, John Clayton Craig, Sr., owned and operated Craig Used Auto Parts in West Point, where she was the bookkeeper for 35 years. She was a member of Old Aberdeen Road Church of Christ in West Point. She was also a member of the West Point Art Club. She married John Clayton Craig, Sr., on March 24, 1940, in West Point, and he passed away on April 4, 1980. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Virginia Brown and by 3 Brothers: John Love, William Love, and Ovid Love. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. from Old Aberdeen Road Church of Christ in West Point with Mr. John Bauer officiating and assisted by Mr. J.C. Craig, Jr. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include three sons: John Clayton Craig, Jr. of Franklin, TN, William Robert Craig (Claire) and Terry Lane Craig both of West Point; Six Grandchildren: John Todd Craig (Amanda) of Franklin, TN, Phillip Ward Craig (Deanna) of Franklin, TN, Robert Gill Craig (Jennifer) of Woodstock, GA, Caroline Craig Sawyer (Jay) of Bentonville, Ark, Nancy Craig McClain (Chris) of Birmingham, AL, and Lana Catherine Sawtelle (Dillon) of West Point; Nine Great Grandchildren: Annie Eleanor Craig, John Conner Craig, Marlie Craig, William Craig, Evan Craig, Emma Claire Sawyer, Lily Sawyer, Avery McClain, and Audrey McClain; and One Brother: Robert Love (Margaret) of Tampa, FL. Pallbearers will be John Todd Craig, Phillip Ward Craig, Robert Gill Craig, David Jay Sawyer, Robert Christopher McClain, Dillon Sawtelle, and Doug Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers will be her caretakers: Katie Lenoir, Cheryl Lenoir, Candia Woods, and her hospice nurse: Kena Kaiser. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association P.O.
