Sylvia Hazelwood McKee

Sylvia Hazelwood McKee, 72, passed away on April 8, 2024, at her residence in Cedar Bluff. Sylvia was born on August 10, 1951, in West Point, to the late Sydney Earl and Helen Herring Hazelwood. Sylvia worked as a Bank Teller at Bank First in West Point for 15 years. She was a member at Enon Baptist Church, where she played the piano for a number of years, but attended West Point Pentecostal Church. She was an avid vegetable and flower gardener. She enjoyed crafting and painting. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Dale Morris, and two brothers, Eddie Hazelwood, Jr. and Bobby Hazelwood. Visitation will be Friday, April 12, 2024, from 12:00-2:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home in West Point. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Danny Avery officiating and assisted by Bro. Mike McPherson. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Chickasaw County. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Christy Morris of West Point: two sons, Robbin Morris (Kelly) of Philadelphia, and Rowland Morris (Hope) of Hamilton: ten grandchildren, Chance Livingston of West Point, Brinkley Bohon (Mitch) of West Point, Bella and Kappie Livingston, both of West Point, Colby Morris (Christina) of Decatur, Hailey Morris Johnson (Nate) of Newton, Casey Morris (Landrey) of Chunky, and Scout, Nash, and Sully Morris of Hamilton: four great-grandchildren, Adley and Lennox Bohon of West Point and Sawyer and Sadie Morris of Decatur: one sister, Alice Faye Eaton of West Point: one brother, Johnny Hazelwood of Cedar Bluff, and two sisters-in-law, Sandra Hazelwood and Dyanne Hazelwood, both of West Point. Pallbearers will be Casey Morris, Colby Morris, Scout Morris, Eddie Hazelwood, Jr., Maverick Eaton, Robbie Brown, Skipper Livingston, and Roger Brand. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chance Livingston, Nash Morris, Melinda Morris, Barbara Walker, Dr. Ned Miller, the Nurses and Staff of North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice, and her many friends in the Montpelier Community.
