Mrs. Allie Mae Hollis Reid, 95, passed away on June 12, 2015, at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. Mrs. Allie was born May 19, 1920, in Calhoun City, the daughter of the late Samuel Winfield and Lula Mae Buford Hollis. She was a member of West End Baptist Church in West Point. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, having worked at a chiropractor clinic in Eupora and at Ivy Memorial Hospital in West Point. She was an avid and accomplished seamstress that loved to needlepoint. In addition to needlepoint, Mrs. Allie was an excellent cook. She loved tending to her flowers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Aaron Hollingsworth, who passed away in 1952. She then married Waymond Will "Bill" Reid on January 22, 1955, in Eupora, and he passed away on March 26, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her daughter: Adron Lou Wilson; Three Sons: Sam, Jerry, and Paul Aaron Hollingsworth; Step-Son: Jack Aaron Hollingsworth; Four Grandchildren: Sean, Stephanie, and Stephen Hollingsworth and Jim Jolly; One Great Granddaughter: Carley Sanders; Six Sisters: Sue Washam, Mamie Clanton, Syble Bagwell, Bertha Hitt, Becky Hollis, and Lillie Betterton; and by Three Brothers: Ivy Lee Hollis, Joe Hollis, and Elmer Hollis. Funeral services will be Monday, June 15, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend R.C Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include her three daughters, Ruth Ann Self of Kissimmee, FL, Judy Coleman (Billy Wayne) of Houston, and Sara R. Ingram (Chip) of Houston; one son, Jack Hollingsworth (Sally) of Panama City Beach, FL; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Mable Hamilton of Houston. Pallbearers will be her Grandsons: Mike Hollingsworth, Heath Hollingsworth, Jeremy Hollingsworth, Jeff Jolly, Stephen Coleman, Christopher Hamlin, Floyd Ingram IV, Jacob Ingram, Daniel Ingram, and James Ingram. Honorary Pallbearers will be Nurses & Staff of OCH Regional Medical Center, Dr. Travis Methvin, Dr. Ben Sanford and Staff, Dr. Cameron Huxford, and Reverend Tim Brinkley. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O. Box 1818, Memphis, TN 38101 or to West End Baptist Church, P. O. Box 388, West Point, MS 39773.
