Denise Young Garcia Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

West Point, MS - Denise Young Garcia, 54, passed away on July 16, 2022 at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. She was born on October 10, 1967 in Cleveland, MS, to Mary Frances Ouzts and Brother Jim Young. Denise worked as a Medical Records clerk at NMMC for seven years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Denise, according to her mother was a rebel and not the collegiate kind. She did things her way. She was a die hard Alabama football fan. Denise was the happiest when all of her family was together and especially when the grands were present. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, and shopping. Denise was an avid hunter as well. She had to leave from deer hunting one day because she went into labor while waiting for the dogs to come by running a deer. Her smile and laugh was contagious and will be dearly missed by all. A memorial service will be Sunday, August 7, 2022, 4:00 PM at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Keith Carter officiating and assisted by Brother Jim Young. Survivors include her husband, Ronald Garcia, I, of West Point; two daughters, Christy Weaver and Mary Catherine Garcia of West Point; two sons, Ronald Garcia, II. (Morgan) of West Point, Stephen Garcia (Heather) of Bruce; two sisters, Donna McDonald (Tommy) of West Point and Diane Stokes (Jeff) of Liberty; eight grandchildren, Alexis Weaver, Trista Weaver, Kaitlyn Weaver, Garrett Fulgham, Sadie Garcia, Neely Garcia, Maverick Garcia and Arizona Garcia.
