Mr. Douglas Ray Reed

August 25, 1964 - June 15, 2015

Mr. Douglas Ray Reed, 50, passed away on June 15, 2015, at his home in Sturgis. Mr. Douglas was born August 25, 1964, in Starkville, the son of Lonnie Ray and Jackie Altman Reed. He was an United States Army Veteran. He was a Warehouse Manager for Interstate Battery in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a Baptist. He married Eva Huleen Fulgham on September 28, 2013, in Mentone, AL. He was an avid Southeastern Conference Football fan. Funeral services will be June 17, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Russell Mord officiating. Burial will follow in Self Creek Baptist Church Cemetery near Starkville, Mississippi. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include His Wife: Huleen Fulgham Reed of Sturgis; His Four Daughters, Ashley Dale (Conley) of Columbus, Brittney Fiebig (Nick) of Mathiston, Blake Reed of Coffeeville, and Taylor Fulgham Bell of Mathiston; His Two Sons, Tyler Reed of Starkville and Daniel White (Amber) of Mathiston; Eleven Grandchildren; His Father Ray Reed (Diane) of Eupora and Mother Jackie Altman Shurden of Starkville; His Two Brothers, Charles Reed of Starkville and Josh Buford (Samantha) of Mathiston. Pallbearers will be Randy Altman, Duane Altman, Daniel White, Paul Tanksley, Trac Baughn, Dillon Willams, Michael Bell, and Taylor Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Kosciusko High School Football Team, North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice, and his Caregiver-Brenda Amos. Memorials may be made to North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice, 600 West Main Street, Tupelo, MS 38804. Visitation will be Wednesday 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home.
