Mr. Earl Sanders, 87, passed away on March 7, 2015, at his residence in Prairie. Mr. Earl was born May 5, 1927, in Steens, the son of the late Ac and Johnnie Vaughn Sanders. He was a member of the Hamilton Church of Christ. He was a lifelong self-employed row crop and cattle farmer. He was an United States Navy Veteran. He married Ann Duke on April 4, 1947, in Columbus. Funeral services will be March 9, 2015, at 10:00 A.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Minister Jay Street officiating and assisted by Minister Tim Wilson. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery near Steens. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include His Wife Ann Duke Sanders; One Daughter, Sandra Miller; One Grandson: Fred Miller (Wanda) and One Granddaughter: Sissy Miller Conn; One Great Grandson: Miller Conn and One Great Granddaughter: Mason Conn all of Prairie; One Sister, Bonnie Brumfield (Dale) of Springfield, MO; and One Brother, Ed Sanders (Phyllis) of West Point. Pallbearers will be Fred Miller, Miller Conn, Chip Henley, Brian Griggs, Perry Lucas, Marcell Johnson, Percy Vance, and Jamie Eubanks. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Edwards, Dr. Edmund A. Miller, Jr. and Staff, Gina Whitacre, Dr. Andrew Kellum, North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice & Home Health Care, and His Caregivers: Loretta Johnson, Pearline Jones, and Lawanda Bell. Memorials may be made to Charity of Donor's Choice. Visitation will be Sunday 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home. Friends may leave an online condolence at www.calvertfuneralhome.com
