Mr. Glen Allen Pate, Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Glen Allen Pate, Sr., 83, passed away on November 12, 2014, at his home in Pheba. Mr. Glen was born October 3, 1931, in Clay County, the son of the late Clinton Calvin and Lela Murlee Watson Pate. He was a Cattle Rancher that enjoyed working. He was also a County Supervisor, having served District 5 of Clay County for 4 terms. He attended Pheba Baptist Church. He was a member of the Pheba Masonic Lodge #565 F.&A.M. He was also a Shriner. He was an United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He married April 14, 1956, in Baton Rouge, LA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Brothers: James W. and Leotis Pate. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 15, 2004, at 11:00 A.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Terry Rhodes officiating, and assisted by Reverend Tommy Temple. Burial will follow in Pine Bluff Cemetery near Mantee. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include His Wife Thelma W. Pate of Pheba; One Daughter, Janet Williams (Bully) of Houlka and One Son, Glen Allen Pate, Jr. (Joyce) of Mathiston; Three Grandchildren: Glen A. "Tripp" Pate, III, Cason Ford Pate and Jessica Peyton Williams; and his Beloved Dog "Scooter.” Pallbearers will be Wayne Harpole, Steve Harpole, Belton Harpole, Kenneth Pate, James Sehrt, and John Sehrt. Memorials may be made to Pine Bluff Cemetery Fund, C/O Mrs. Betty McNeel, 7999 Colony Road, Pheba, MS 39755. Visitation will be Friday 5:00- 8:00 at Calvert Funeral Home.
