Mr. James Kevin "Goatman" Clark

November 29, 1957 - April 2, 2019

Mr. James Kevin "Goatman" Clark, 61, passed away on April 2, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Golden Triangle in Columbus. He was born on November 29, 1957, in West Point, the son of James Bennie and Mary Glenda Hughes Clark. He worked first in Maintenance at Bryan Foods for 38 years and then worked as a Fitter at Ellis Steel. He enjoyed hunting, especially deer hunting, and a good meal, especially seafood. He loved music and singing. He was a loving family man. He loved his daughters, parents, sister, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was member of New Montpelier Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Doug Childs and a niece, Laura Stevenson. Funeral services will be Friday, April 5, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. at New Montpelier Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry King officiating. Burial will follow in Cairo Cemetery in Cedar Bluff. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include his two daughters, Sara Jo Jones (Tim) of Cedar Bluff and April Turner of West Point: his parents: Bennie and Glenda Clark of Cedar Bluff: a special friend: Mrs. Robbie Bennett of West Point: one sister, Kathy Alexander of Cedar Bluff: niece: Emily Ingram of Pheba: great niece: Khloe Stevenson of Ellisville: two great nephews: Gage and Garrett Ingram of Bay Springs, and a number of aunts and uncles. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Brock, Robert Gaskin, Johnny Hazzard, Dennis Morgan, Jim Murray, Eddie Scott, Mike Shinn, and Ruble West. Honorary Pallbearers will be Former Employees at Bryan Foods, Employees at Ellis Steel, and all of his many friends, especially his Facebook friends. Memorials may be made to Cairo Cemetery Fund, c/o Judy Chrismond, 23225 Hwy 50 West, West Point, MS 39773. Visitation will be Thursday, 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home and Friday, 9:00-10:00 A.M. at New Montpelier Baptist Church. Friends may leave an online condolence at www.calvertfuneralhome.com
