Mr. Kenneth Marvin Ware, 77, passed away on August 14, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Mr. Kenneth was born September 13, 1938, in Chickasaw County the son of the late Eddie Jackson and Edna Mae Potnick Ware. Kenneth was an United States Air Force Veteran and a Baptist. He retired from Bryan Foods in West Point after 43 years, where he worked in the Research and Development Department. He served with the West Point Auxillary Police Department. He loved to hunt and work on jigsaw puzzles. He was an accomplished ATV mechanic that enjoyed working on 4-wheelers. He married Elizabeth Huffman on June 24, 1959, in Okolona. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Sister: Delia Yvonne Johnson and by his Brother: Eddie Wayne Ware. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at 10:00 A.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Shane Davis officiating and assisted by Reverend Donnie Davis. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery near Houston. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include His Wife Elizabeth Huffman Ware of Cedar Bluff; Two Daughters, Debora Ware Poss of West Point and Susan Ware Terry (Kale) of Cedar Bluff; Two Sons, Kenneth "Buddy" Ware (Sandra) of West Point and Paul Ware (Susan) of Cedar Bluff; Nine Grandchildren; Beth Poss, Racheal Johnson, Brittany Millsaps, James "Scooter" Ware, Samantha Ware Duke, Katelyn Ware, Bradley Terry, Jacob Ware, and Brooke Terry; Nine Great Grandchildren; Alyssa Clerk, Bradley Johnson, Christopher Ware White, Kylie White, Karleigh White, Chloe Ware, Jaxen Millsaps, Owen Duke, and Cambree Ware; and a host of Nieces and Nephews. Pallbearers will be Jerry Johnson, Alex Millsaps, David Ware, Wayne Ware, Ricky Blake, and Butch Blake. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Edmund Miller, Dr. Richard Johnston, Dr. Julian Hill, Former Co-Workers at Bryan Foods, Members of the Harmon Lake Sportsman Association, Members of the Clay County Conservation Club, O.M. Johnson, David Thompson, George Bryan, and John Bryan. Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, 2219 East Main Street, Columbus, MS. 39701.
