May 4, 1927 - July 17, 2014

Mable Holmes Kisner West Point, Mississippi - Mable Holmes Kisner, 87, passed away, on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Dugan Memorial Home, in West Point, MS. She was born May 4, 1927 in West Point, Mississippi to the late Hattie Cogsdell and Wayne Wise Holmes. Mable was a Key Punch Operator Babcock & Wilcox for over 20 years. She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church. Mable Holmes Kisner married Edmond Alvis Kisner on May 30, 1947, West Point, Mississippi he preceded her in death on September 11, 1966. Funeral services will be Monday, July 21, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Doran Henry officiating, with Mr. James McGraw sharing the family thoughts. Burial will follow in West Point Memorial Garden Cemetery. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include her daughter, Janis Smith (George) of Greenwood; two sons, Ronald L. Kisner (Kay) of West Point, and Gary Kisner (Lynn) of Cedar Bluff; Six grandchildren; Matthew Smith, Daniel Smith, Adam Kisner, Glendon Kisner, Monica Mathis, and Mandy McGraw; 11 great grandchildren; Candace Kisner, Tory Henley, Zack Mathis, Sadie Kisner, Mason McGraw, Kaley McGraw, Chloe Kisner, Wyatt McGraw, Parker Smith, Collier Kisner and Cothran Kisner; One brother, Roy Allen Holmes (Barbara) of Pascagoula. Preceding her in death were three brothers, Joe Holmes, Bob Holmes and Bill Holmes Pallbearers will be Matt Smith, Adam Kisner, Glendon Kisner, James McGraw, Curt Kisner, and Donnie Kisner. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Andrez Wartak, all the staff at Dugan Memorial Home, Eddie Todd, J. B. Kisner, Bill Simmons, Randy Simmons, Wayne Wray, Crow Simmons, Barry Sansing, and her many friends. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, P. O. Box 16808, Jackson, MS 39236. Visitation will be Sunday 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home. Friends may leave an online condolence at www.calvertfuneralhome.com
