Mr. G. Bruce Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Carl G. Bruce, 83, passed away, on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at OCH Regional Hospital, in Starkville. Carl George Bruce was born February 9, 1929 in Weir, Mississippi to the late Clara Blaine and Carl B. Bruce. Mr. Bruce worked with Continental Baking Company for 30 years in Clarksdale where he was a former resident. He was a member of the Methodist Church and had served in the U. S. Army having served during the Korean War. Funeral services will be Monday, December 31, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pheba Cemetery at Pheba. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ann McGee Bruce of Starkville, MS; two nieces Evelyn McGee and Linda Wade (Darren); twin great nieces and Lindsey and Lauryl Wade and a great nephew Craig Wade one sister, Elsie Bruce of Ackerman: one brother, Kenneth Bruce of Weir. Pallbearers will be Robert White, Tommy Millsaps, Dale Bigham, Wade McCullough, Brad Vaughn, and Larry McClure Honorary Pallbearers will be H. D. King, John Fondren, Mac Moody, Gully and Georgia Warren, and his friends at Vickers Personal Care Home. Memorials may be made to Vickers Personal Care Home, 114 North Montgomery Street, Starkville, MS 39759. Visitation will be Monday 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
