Mr. Mitchell Doss

James Mitchell Doss, 61, passed away, on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at his home, in West Point. Mitchell was born September 24, 1950 in Houston to the late Christine Garrett Doss and James D. Doss. He was a Machine Operator/Welder for B & W for 28 years and a member of West Point Pentecostal Church. He was a Veteran of U. S. Marines having served during the Vietnam War. James Mitchell Doss married Pamela Buchanan Doss on July 2, 1977, in Columbus. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his Wife, Pamela Buchanan Doss of West Point, two daughters, Lawanna Doss Terry (Shea), Katina Doss Champion all of West Point; two sons, James Timothy Doss (Merideth) of West Point, William Bradley Doss all of West Point. 7 grandchildren, Stephanie Camp, Britany Terry, Susie Champion, Dylan Doss, Jordan Camp, Haley Terry, and Kayden Doss; several nieces and nephews; one sister, Vickie Weaver (David) of West Point; one brother, Donnie Joe Doss of Alvarado, TX. Pallbearers will be David Camp, Billy Laster, Clifton Laster, Shea Terry, Jordan Camp, and Dylan Doss. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. John Cox, Brett Miller, Staff at Dugan Memorial Home, Friends and co-workers at Babcock and Wilcox. Memorials may be made to Dugan Memorial Home, 804 East Main Street, West Point, MS 39773. Visitation will be Monday 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
