Mrs. Weathers Watson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Iness Weathers Watson, 83, passed away, on November 10, 2013 at the Baton Rouge General Hospital-Mid City, in Baton Rouge, LA. Iness was born April 1, 1930 in Tishomingo County Mississippi to the late Doreana Bingham and Alonzo Marcus Weathers. She was a Head Cashier for Kroger Foods in Baton Rouge for 25 years and was a member of Goodwood Boulevard Church of Christ. Iness Weathers Watson married Thomas Edward Watson on April 2, 1955, in West Point, Mississippi. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 13, 2013, 10:00 A.M. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with her nephew, Bill Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery Cedar Bluff, MS. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Thomas Edward "Buddy" Watson of Baton Rouge, LA; one son, Christopher Edward Watson (Peggy) of Baton Rouge, LA; two grandchildren; Leslie M. Watson and Kristy L. Watson one great grandson; Jackson Christopher Watson and numerous nieces and nephews; one sister, Mae Weathers Caudill of West Point. She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Watson, three brothers Carl Weathers, Howard "Pug" Weathers and Billy Weathers; two sisters Alice Orr and Jeanette Sanders; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery, C/O Mrs. Anna Sims, 911 Henryville Road, Cedar Bluff, MS 39741. Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home.
