Mary Ann Dahlem Beckwith, 64, passed away, Thursday, October 13, 2011 Community Hospice, Verona, Mississippi. Mary Ann Beckwith was born June 14, 1947 in Aberdeen, Mississippi to the late Eva Lee Willis Mask Dahlem and Collie Kristopher Dahle. Mary Ann worked on the support staff as a secretary for Watkins, Ward Stafford CPA from July 1982 until August, 2011 and was of the Baptist faith. Mary Ann was a graduating member of the Class of 1965 at Aberdeen High School. She loved her cats and dogs. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery near Aberdeen. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Leslie Dawn Bolton (Scott) of West Point; one son, De La Beckwith, VIII (Cindy) of Columbus; three grandchildren; Victoria Ashley Beckwith, Zachary Peyton Beckwith, and Brandon Scott Bolton; one sister, Jewel Hazelwood (John Ralph) of West Point; Brother in law: Elton Weeks of Wichita, Kansas. Preceding in death were her sister, Dorothy "Peaches" Weeks. Pallbearers will be Mike Boolos, Brandon Bolton, Billy Buck Staggers, Harry Stevens, Lawrence Brantley, Byron De La Beckwith, Jr., Glen Cunningham, and Kale Terry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carl Stahl, Paul Ray, Dr. Keven Hayes, Dr. Wail Alnas, all her Friends at Watkins, Ward Stafford CPA, the Staff of Community Hospice, and the Staff of Baptist Cancer Institute. Memorials may be made to West Point Animal Shelter, 1212 Old Tibbee Road, West Point, MS 39773 or to Community Hopice Darlington Oaks, 107 Skeet Drive, Verona, MS 38879-9702.
