Mr. Murray "Buddy" Noblin, Jr., 79, passed away on May 6, 2019 at his residence in West Point. Buddy was born on September 13, 1939, in Clay County, the son of the late Murray, Sr. and Ela Williams Shurden Noblin. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He worked as a Machinist for Babcock and Wilcox where he retired after 30 years. He was a member of Cedar Bluff United Methodist Church. He enjoyed picture puzzles and working on small engines. He was an avid and accomplished "fix it man." He enjoyed being with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He married Betty Katherine LeNoir Noblin on September 24, 1977 in West Point. She preceded him in death on November 16, 2003. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Shipman and a brother: Donnie Watson. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 9, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Raleigh Richter officiating and assisted by Mr. Kenneth Byrd. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include his two daughters, Jennifer Schultz (Curtis) of Center Point, Louisiana, and Anita Taylor (Bob) of Petal: two sons, Murray Noblin, III (Jessica) of Hattiesburg, and Bo McKee (Ronda) of Mathiston: eight grandchildren; Allie and Drew Schultz of Center Point, Louisiana, Hannah Taylor of Petal, Kathleen Murray (Matt) of Greenwood, Indiana, Derrick Taylor (Jamie) of Naples, Florida, Katherine Noblin of Hattiesburg, Jay McKee (Anna Leslie) and Jamie McKee, both of Mathiston: four great-grandchildren; Hayley and Harper Taylor of Naples, Florida and Lynnleigh and Sutton Grace Murray of Greenwood, Indiana: two sisters, Martha White of Cedar Bluff and Mary Judice (Jackie) of New Iberia, Louisiana: Special Niece: Pam Pearson (Banny) of Cedar Bluff and Special Friend: Lavinia Yeatman of Maben. Pallbearers will be Marion Johnson, Keath Pearson, Heath Pearson, John Jackson, Ray White, Rodney White, Robbie White, Drew Nichols, and Billy Bennett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Former Co-Workers at Babcock and Wilcox, Dr. Ron Powell, Members of Cedar Bluff United Methodist Church, and his Lady "Friends" at Dugan Memorial Home. Memorials may be made to Cedar Bluff United Methodist Church, c/o Pam Pearson P.O. Box 82, Cedar Bluff, MS 39741. Visitation will be Wednesday, 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home.
