Mrs. Myrtle Foxworth O'Brian

Mrs. Myrtle Foxworth O'Brian, 97, passed away on July 4, 2018, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Mrs. Myrtle was born May 21, 1921, in Perry County, near Richton that daughter of the late Ernest Lamar and Geneve Clark Foxworth. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church in West Point. She was an Inspector and seamstress at Knickerbocker Manufacturing in West Point. Mrs. Myrtle enjoyed yardwork and was a loving sister, aunt, and friend. She married John C. O'Brian on June 30, 1942, in Laurel and he passed away September 11, 1977. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: James, Roy, and David Foxworth, and by 1 Sister: Velma Oden. Graveside services will be Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. from Greenwood Cemetery with Reverend Stanley Blaylock officiating and assisted by Reverend Larry Pierce. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include her sister, Rosa Lee McMahan of Conway, AR and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Brian Cook, J.P. Winter, Steve Mathis, Terry Benson, Dathan Lambert, Joe Tygart, and Drew Lowrimore. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Edmund A. Miller, Jr., Nurses & Staff Sanctuary Home Hospice, Nurses & Staff Sanctuary Hospice House, and Friends at First Pentecostal Church. Memorials may be made to First Pentecostal Church, P.O.
