Mr. Ronald Dale "Ronnie" Heranney

February 15, 1952 - September 7, 2016

Mr. Ronald Dale "Ronnie" Heranney, 64, passed away on September 7, 2016 at his residence, in Columbus, MS. He was born February 15, 1952 in Arcola, MS to Katherine Williams and Joseph Heranney. He was the owner/operator of RDH Custom Homes. He attended Holladale High School. He graduated from Humphreys Academy, Class of 1970, in Belzoni, MS. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, and son-in-law. He married Susan McPherson on November 9, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church in West Point, MS. Funeral services will be Monday, September 12, 2016, 2:00 P.M. at Hollandale Baptist Church with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating and assisted by Reverend Dennis Salley. Burial will follow in Hollandale Cemetery in Hollandale, MS. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point, MS is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include His Wife, Susan McPherson Heranney of Columbus, MS; one daughter, Tricia H. Spiers (Johnny) of Hattiesburg, MS; one son, Scott Parker Heranney of Edmund, OK; two step-daughters: Beverly Wells (Chris) of Moseley, VA and Victoria DeSantis of Nashville, TN; one Step-Son: Michael Thomas (Erin) of Marietta, GA; two granddaughters: Ada Kathryn and Elin Vivian Spiers of Hattiesburg, MS, seven step-grandsons: Nicholas, Daniel, and Andrew Wells of Moseley, VA and Caleb, Jonah, Micah, and Isaiah Thomas of Marietta, GA; His parents, Joe and Katherine Williams Herraney of Hollandale, MS; one sister: Linda White of Vincent, AL; two brothers, Joe Heranney, Jr. (Kathy) of Lebannon, VA and Audie Heranney of Hollandale, MS; and his mother-in-law Belle McPherson of West Point, MS. Pallbearers will be Lee Lawler, Tommy Williams, Brian Williams, Bunky Winters, Doug Reava, Robert Earl Bagley, Jimmy Garrett, and Cousie Giglio. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Doug Reava Sunday School Class at FBC Columbus, and Dr. Murray Estess. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 202 7th Street North, Columbus, MS 39701 or to The Great Commission Inc., 438 Wexford Court, Martinez, GA. Visitation will be Sunday, 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home in West Point and Monday, 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Hollandale Baptist Church in Hollandale.
