Mrs. Ruby Faye Stafford

Mrs. Ruby Faye Stafford, 79, passed away on October 20, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus. Mrs. Ruby was born April 2, 1939, in Aberdeen, the daughter of the late James Arthur and Francis Lucille McKenzie Parker. Mrs. Ruby was a retired department manager at Walmart. She enjoyed reading, traveling, camping, and fishing. However, one of her greatest pleasures came from playing Bingo. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ruby was preceded in death by her two grandsons: Joshua Redmond and J.T. Tennyson. Funeral services will be Monday, October 22, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Earl Parker officiating and assisted by Brother David Parker. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include three daughters, Debra McCarter (Phillip) of Pheba, Sheila Tennyson (James "Kooter") of Eupora, and Lee Melcher (Freddy) of West Point; one son, Edward Andrew "Andy" Redmond, Jr. of Rogersville, TN; Her Fiance': M.C. Pate of Columbus; a number of Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, and Great-Great Grandchildren; one sister, Martha Hulsey of Mathiston; six brothers, Dr. James Earl Parker of Baton Rouge, LA, Arthur Parker (Louise) of Montpelier, Eugene Parker (Sharon) of Vernon, AL, Dr. Aaron Parker (Jeannie) of Laurel, David Parker of D'Lo, and Hubert Parker (Becky) of Prentiss; and a multitude of Nieces and Nephews and extended family. Pallbearers will be Jonathon Redmond, Justin Redmond, Clay McCarter, Joey Sellars, Travis Fulgham, Sebastian Vasquez, Ken Pennington, and Eddie Harpole.
