Mr. Taylor Dragoo, 15, passed away, on June 7, 2014, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Taylor was born April 19, 1999, in West Point to Sherry Reannay Jenkins and Steven Alfred Dragoo. Taylor was a member of First Christian Church, but also attended the youth groups of First Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church, and First Methodist Church. Taylor was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt, fish, kayak, and ride four-wheelers. Taylor loved all sports, but especially loved football and running track. Taylor was a "Sportscenter" enthusiast. Taylor would have been a 10th grader at Oak Hill Academy in West Point. Taylor was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandmother: Peggy Dragoo. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Kirby Lloyd officiating and assisted by Reverend Chris Craven. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include His Parents: Steve and Sherry Dragoo of West Point; One Brother, Steve Dragoo of West Point; Maternal Grandmother: Thomasine Clardy (Randy) of Okolona; Maternal Grandfather: Billy Jenkins of Columbus; Paternal Grandfather: Steve Dragoo (Peggy Willis) of Columbus; Maternal Great Grandmother: Martha Euline Hayes of Guin, AL; Maternal Great Grandmother: Lottie Jean Jackson of Aberdeen, and Numerous other extended family. Pallbearers will be Chris Craven, David Matusiak, Daniel Merchant, Carl Middleton, Brian Middleton, and Cody Allen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Faculty, Staff, and Students of Oak Hill Academy, Calvary Baptist Church Youth Group, First Baptist Church Youth Group, First Methodist Church Youth Group, and the First Christian Church Family. Memorials may be made to University of Mississippi Medical Center Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, 2500 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39216 or to Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Oak Hill Academy, C/O Reverend Chris Craven, 800 North Eshman Avenue, West Point, MS 39773. Visitation will be Monday 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home.
