Becky Hyde

Becky Hyde, 48, passed away on January 14, 2026, at her home in West Point. Becky Lee Hyde was born on August 27, 1977, in Calhoun County, to the late Ravis Lee and Shelby Blackwelder Hyde. As a way of keeping up with friends, she enjoyed sending cards and socializing through social media. She enjoyed watching Mississippi State football and the Dallas Cowboys, all because of Dak Prescott. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her friends at Green Oaks Apartments, where she often referred to them as her "Little Chickens." She enjoyed spoiling her great-nieces and great-nephews with buying them things. She was a loving sister, aunt, and friend. She attended Faith Baptist Church in West Point. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Rev. George and Marie "Vannie" Blackwelder, paternal grandparents, Lonnie and Berdie Hyde, and two brothers, Kenny Blaylock and Chris Hyde. Visitation will be Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Faith Baptist Church in West Point. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Jeff Blackwelder officiating and assisted by Bro. Chris Hunnicutt. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include two sisters, Deborah Fitzgerald (Allen) of Cedar Bluff and Mary Orr of Calhoun City: two brothers, David Blaylock of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Robert Blaylock of Eupora: a number of nieces and nephews, and her feline companion, Goose. Honorary Pallbearers will be her many friends at Faith Baptist Church and her friends at Wal-Mart.
