Mr. Billy Edwin Betts Obituary (1938

Mr. Billy Edwin Betts, 77, passed away on October 3, 2016, at North Delta Hospice House in Southaven. Mr. Billy was born October 9, 1938, in Sturgis, the son of the late L.D. and Sarah Ocie Clardy Betts. Mr. Billy was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church near Maben. He was an United States Navy Veteran. He was a Territory Manager for Morrison Oil Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by One Sister: Mrs. Norma Dean Seawright and by Two Brothers: Johnny Sylvester Betts and James Arthur "Jim" Betts. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 8, 2016, at 1:00 P.M. from Double Springs Baptist Church near Maben with Reverend Ben Yarber officiating and assisted by Mr. Shannon Clardy. Burial will follow in Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery near Maben. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include One Daughter, Sherri Tallent and One Son, Johnny Betts (Rhonda) all of Olive Branch; Eight Grandchildren: Scotty Milican, Cameron Dougher (Paige), Aaron Dougher, Garrett Betts, Luke Betts, Haley Yelverton, Mandi Tallent, and Jessie Tallent. One Sister, Otheal Weatherly of Columbus and a number of Nieces and Nephews. Memorials may be made to Double Springs Baptist Church, 1478 Maben Sturgis Road North, Maben, MS 39750.
