Mr. Bobby Walker

Mr. Bobby Walker, 74, passed away on April 27, 2019, at Specialty Hospital of Meridian. Mr. Bobby Walker was born December 22, 1944, in Athens, Alabama, the son of the late Robert Henry and Frances Irby Walker, Jr. Bobby worked many years as a loan officer at both BancorpSouth (formerly Bank of Mississippi) and Republic Finance. He was an avid and accomplished bass fisherman that particularly enjoyed fishing the waters of both the Tennessee-Tombigbee and Black Warrior Rivers near Demopolis, Alabama. He was a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Towery officiating. Graveside service will follow in Itawamba Memorial Garden Cemetery near Fulton at 2:00 P.M. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include two Sons, Bob Walker of West Point and Perry Walker of Coffeeville; One grandson: Robert Walker of West Point; Mother of His Children: Becky Walker of West Point; and Two Cousins: Bill Irby of Oklahoma and Jim Irby of Tupelo. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Nurses and Staff of Specialty Hospital of Meridian, and the Nurses and Staff of North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
