Carolyn McFalls

–

West Point, Mississippi

Carolyn McFalls, 71, passed away on August 29, 2026 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Born on December 30, 1954, in the quaint town of Maben, Carolyn was the cherished daughter of Carroll Harpole and Petonia Shelton Downs. Carolyn devoted her life to being a homemaker, a role in which she found great joy and fulfillment. Her loving nature touched many, as she was not only a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother but also a caring sister, aunt, and friend. Known for her resilience, Carolyn was considered a tough lady by those who knew her well—a testament to her strong spirit and unwavering determination. Her warmth and vivacity were reflected in her hobbies, which included listening to music, drawing, cooking, and fishing. Carolyn had a knack for finding joy in the simple pleasures of life, often described as someone who enjoyed "rambling" and finding new adventures to dive into. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find solace in the loving memories she leaves behind. Carolyn will be dearly missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Barney McFalls, her son, David Nation, and a sister, Diane Cook.
