Mr. H. Ballard

West Point, Mississippi - Charles H. Ballard, 68, passed away, July 30, 2011 at North MS Medical Center-West Point. Charles H. Ballard was born September 1, 1942 in Sturgis, Mississippi to the late Fannie Mae Ballard and Lester Ballard. He was a member of East End Baptist Church, Columbus, MS, and a Veteran of the US Navy. He married Alice Faye Hodge January 24, 1969, at the family home in Sturgis, MS. He worked for Purolator and more recently, nine years for Columbus Brick. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 2:00 from East End Baptist Church in Columbus with the Bro. Albert Wilkerson officiating. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include Wife Faye Ballard of West Point, MS; daughters, Samantha Schmidt (Anthony) of Jackson, MS, and Amber Wellman (Alex) of Yorktown, VA; one son, Charlie Ballard of Brandon, MS; one grandson, Bryce Wellman. Charles H. Ballard was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Beatrice and Frances, and brothers Vester and James. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O.
