Mr. E. Carroll,

Charles E. Carroll, Jr., 85, passed away, Monday, August 22, 2011 at the State Veterans Nursing Home in Oxford. Charles Ernest Carroll, Jr. was born December 21, 1925 in Houston, Mississippi to the late Lola Olivia Meredith and Charles Ernest Carroll, Sr. Mr. Carroll was a Bookkeeper/Salesman for Cummins Company for 25 years. and was a Methodist. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy having served during WW II. Charles E. Carroll married Romer Stafford Carroll July 10, 1943, in West Point. Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Palestine Cemetery with Brother Tyler Higginbotham officiating. Burial will follow. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include Wife Romer Stafford Carroll; one daughter, Patsy Bailey (Jim), daughter in law, Nancy Carroll all of Southaven; five grandchildren; Kelly Copeland, Keith Carroll, David Carrroll, Tanya Bailey and Chris Bailey; 12 great grandchildren. His son Charles Harold Carroll also preceded him in death. Visitation will be 12:45 until service time at the graveside.
