Mr. Charles Byron "Barney" Densmore Obituary (1942

Mr. Charles Byron "Barney" Densmore, 73, passed away May 11, 2016 at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point, MS. Mr. Charles Byron "Barney" Densmore was born on December 4, 1942, in Gardendale, AL the son of the late Gussell Russell Densmore, Sr. and Daisy Shelton Densmore. He was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God in Columbus. He was a Fitter-Welder at Babcock and Wilcox for 30 years and he also owned and operated Charles' Body Shop. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 14, 2016, 2:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Ron Delgado officiating and assisted by Reverend Bobby Vail. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include four daughters, Carolyn Skelton (Joe) of West Point, Amy Densmore of Atlanta, GA, Kristi Thrasher (David) of San Antonio, TX and Charlene Coleman (Steven) of Lebanon, TN; the mother of his children, Nancy M. Densmore of West Point, 4 grandchildren; Roger Haughton (Meredith) of Birmingham, AL, Deborah Bruce (Tex) of New Orleans, LA, Macey Coleman of Lebanon, TN and Jake Coleman of Lebanon, TN, 3 great grandchildren; Rollins Haughton, Drennen Haughton and Fleming Haughton all of Birmingham, AL. one sister, Joyce Powers of Fountain Inn, SC, and two brothers, Jimmy Densmore of Columbus and Gussell Russell Densmore Jr. of California. Pallbearers will be Roger Haughton, Tex Bruce, Eddie Decker, Mike Dodson and Bernard Skelton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Reverend Bobby Vail and Dr. Andrew Wartak. Memorials may be made to Gideon's International, P O Box 661, West Point, MS 39773. Visitation will be Friday, 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home.
