Mr. Clyde Delbert McKnight Jr.

Mr. Clyde Delbert McKnight, Jr., 68, passed away on October 1, 2016, at Starkville Manor Nursing Home in Starkville. Mr. Clyde was born in Texas on May 26, 1948, the son of the late Clyde Delbert and Betty Mae Clark McKnight, Sr. He was an avid and accomplished farmer and ranch manager, who enjoyed farming. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He married Glenda Mae Anderson McKnight on September 13, 1977, in Moline, IL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great granddaughter: Jaiden Tapley. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include His Wife Glenda McKnight of Pheba; One Daughter, Sara McKnight-Thornton (Kelan) of Jackson; Five Sons, Maurie Vaughn of Leesburg, FL, Stuart Vaughn (Annise) of New Windsor, IL, Todd Vaughn (Tammy) of Pheba, James Vaughn (Jennifer) of Andover, IL, and Michael Lee McKnight of Pheba; Eight Grandchildren; Five Great Grandchildren; Two Brothers, Patrick McKnight (Jess) of Paragould, AR, and Carol Kim McKnight (Debbie) of Ellsinore, MO. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Visitation will be Wednesday 2:00-4:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home.
