Danielle Tennyson

Danielle Tennyson entered her Heavenly home on Tuesday June 20, 2023. Danielle was born on June 12, 1984, in West Point, the daughter of Anita Pennington Shaffer and the late James Tennyson. Danielle was a mother to four precious children. She was also a daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, friend, and so much more. Danielle had recently been saved and baptized. She was a member of Freedom Church in Caledonia. She worked as a Customer Service Representative at Highmark Health. She worked hard, sometimes holding down more than one job, went to school, all while raising her four children. She enjoyed spending time with her kids, family, and her church family. Danielle was very active in her church, and loved her church family dearly. Danielle enjoyed taking her kids to the YMCA to swim and play, watch Kaylee play tennis, Karlee cheer, and Gage and Grant in Cub Scouts and Baseball. Danielle was such a wonderful and beautiful person on the inside and out. She loved to sing, dance, act silly, and she loved taking selfies. She was kind hearted and loved by everyone. She didn’t meet a stranger and she loved to talk. She was proud of her kids, and proud of her family, and told everyone how much she loved them all. Danielle was fun and enjoyed life so much. She was such a wonderful person who would give someone her last dime, even if she didn’t have much to give. She was loud and fun, but also kind and compassionate. She literally loved everyone in every aspect of life, and always loved with her whole heart. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, J. T. Tennyson, her maternal grandfathers, Danny Pennington and Hugh Shaffer, and her paternal grandparents, Calvin and Emma Tennyson. Visitation will be on Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home in West Point. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Pounders officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Eupora. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include two daughters, Kaylee and Karlee Medders and two sons, Gage and Grant House, all of Caledonia: parents, Randy and Anita Shaffer of West Point and Sheila Tennyson of Eupora: four sisters, April Stringer (Gary) of Raymond, Shea Rosamond (Daniel) of Kosciusko, Michelle Fulgham of Pheba, and Tina Elkins of West Point,: five brothers, Jamie Tennyson of Corvallis, Oregon, Wesley Tennyson of Mize, Derrick Tennyson of Mize, Jason Edwards of West Point, and Andrew Tennyson of Eupora: maternal grandmother, Patricia Shaffer of West Point, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Pallbearers will be Justin Poole, Jake Medders, Wesley Tennyson, Derrick Tennyson, Alan Pennington, and Darryl Pennington. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenny Pennington, Carsyn Rosamond, Jacob Medders, J. C. Weathers, Cain Cannon, Bill Pointer, and Larry Joe White.
