Mr. Danny C. "Eagle" Nation

Mr. Danny C. "Eagle" Nation, 70, passed away on January 21, 2019 in Pontotoc. Danny was born April 23, 1948, in West Point, the son of the late Tommy Nation and Ruth Pickle Hess. Danny was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in Germany. "Eagle", as he was affectionately referred to on the C.B. radio, he enjoyed playing pool, cornholes, and washers. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the Mingoes Motorcycle Club based in Tupelo. He enjoyed his horses. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church in Clay County, but attended Tupelo Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Dorothy Nation Walters and by two brothers: James "Jimmy" and Ricky Nation. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 26, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Judd Vowell officiating. Burial will follow in Enon/Big Springs Cemetery in Cedar Bluff. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include his three daughters, Vicky Bennett (Anthony) of Fulton, Sherry Barnes (Ray) of Baldwyn, and Rielly Byrd (Josh) of Ashland; two sons, Josh Collins (Heather) of Senatobia and Logan Nation of Ashland; Eight Grandchildren: Michael Adams (Stacy), Breez Bennett, Landon Bennett, Candace Morgan (Alex), Jonathan Barnes, Joshua Lee Collins, Kyleigh Collins, and Landen Collins three great-grandchildren: Cohen Adams, Carson Adams, and Dominic Morgan; step-mother: Myrtle O'Rourke of Saltillo; sister, Katherine Wright of Henrietta, OK. Pallbearers will be Mark Pumphrey, Ray Ray Buchanan, Buckey Morris, Merle Kinkaid, Craig Kinkaid, Scotty Wooten,Don Clark and David Mize. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O.
