Mrs. Faye Eaton

Mrs. Ellen Faye Hickman Eaton, born November 20, 1936, in Manila, Arkansas, went home to be with her Lord December 2, 2022 at the age of 86. Faye attended school in Maben. Her mother passed away when Faye was only 16 years of age, she left school to help take care of her dad and help with their farm. Faye did receive her GED years later. Faye had many jobs over the years. She drove a Clay County school bus while her 3 children were babies. She then worked at Knickerbocker and Monty Glove until her only son had a vehicle accident that left him in need of round the clock care. She cared for him five years before going to work at Franklin Corporation in Houston, where she retired from. She was the caregiver of her loving husband of 67 years as his health declined due to dementia. Many that knew her commented on her Beautiful Smile and the fact that she was always there for others. She will be greatly missed, especially by her loving husband. She was a member of Palestine Methodist Church. Faye is remembered for her contagious smile, playful sense of humor and a warmth of heart that made all feel welcome. She was the baby of these 8 siblings, and they all called her when in need. Preceded in death by Mother, Jettie Mae Quinn Hickman and father, William Doc Hickman, her son Ricky Eaton, brothers W. E Hickman, Leroy Hickman, Alton Hickman, D. W. Hickman, and James Hickman, and sisters Lilly Pearl Naramore, Eula Williamson and Ruby Easley. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother she is survived by her husband, Hubert Eaton of West Point, two daughters, Athena Wilkerson of West Point and Diane Morris (Tom) of Seabrook, Texas, grandchildren Jamie Snell of West Point, Jessica Longoria (David) of Austin, Texas, and Lindsey Morris of Gig Harbor, Washington, and great-granddaughter, Elena Faye Longoria, one of her four name sakes. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews. A visitation will be held at Calvert Funeral Home in West Point on Monday, December 5, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Cary Sutphin officiating and assisted by Reverend John Parker. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery in Montpelier. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Pallbearers will be Andy Moore, Keith Thompson, Tim Thompson, Brad Davis, Shawn Lee, and Christopher Lee.
