Mrs. Franks Weed

Addie Mae Franks Weed, 92, passed away, on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Sanctuary Hospice House, in Tupelo. Addie Mae Weed was born June 30, 1920 in Houston, Mississippi to the late Hattie Channey Franks Easley and William C. Franks. Mrs. Weed worked in Health Care as a Nurses Aide. She was of the Baptist faith. Addie Mae Franks Weed married Carl Weed on July 6, 1940, Houston, and he preceded her in death on March 13, 2000. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 4, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tyler D. Higginbotham officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery near Houston. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include her Nieces and Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews. Those preceding Addie Mae Franks Weed in death were her sister, Inez Davis and brothers, Ervin E. Franks, Carrel Franks, and Maxie Lee Franks and nephew Billy J. Williams. Pallbearers will be Max Davis, Jimmy Davis, Mike Williams, Ray Weed, Carl Lee Weed, and David Hansen. Honorary Pallbearers are Gail McMinn and Judy Hodnett, her special care givers. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Cemetery Fund, c/o Billy P. Griffin, 303 CR 166, Houston, MS 38851. Visitation will be Monday, 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
