Mrs. Hazlewood Clifton Obituary (1923

Helen Hazlewood Clifton, 89, passed away, on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at North MS Medical Center, in West Point. She was born May 18, 1923 in Union County to Lula Crumpton and John Fernando Herring. Mrs. Clifton was a Nurses Aid at Ivy Memorial Hospital and a member of the Pentecostal Church. Husbands, Sidney Earl Hazlewood on November 10, 1969 and Thomas K. Clifton on August 13, 1993, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 11, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel; the Brother Danny Avery officiating, assisted by Brother Chris Craven and Brother Mike McPherson. Burial will follow in Cairo Cemetery. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia McKee (Robert) of Cedar Bluff, Alice Eaton (Darrell) of West Point; and two sons, Johnny Hazlewood of West Point, Bobby Hazlewood (Dyann) of Cedar Bluff; Ten grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one brother, Austin P. Herriing of Memphis, TN . Her son, Eddie Hazlewood, preceded her in death. Pallbearers will be Eddie Hazlewood, Rowland Morris, Maverick Eaton, Robbin Morris, Gregory Moore, and Jeffrey Moore Honorary Pallbearers will be Colby Morris, Casey Morris, Chance Livingston, Scout Morris, Russell Morris, Preston Hall, Josh Hancock and Landon Golson. Memorials may be made to Cairo Cemetery Care Fund, c/o Judy Chrismond, 3836 Hwy 50 West, West Point, MS 39773. Visitation will be Wednesday, 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
