Mrs. Jones Wardlaw Obituary (1953

Dorothy Jean Jones Wardlaw, 59, passed away, on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at North MS Medical Center, in Tupelo, MS. Dorothy was born October 3, 1953 in Iuka, Mississippi to the late Aliene Belle Cox and Ernest Shelby Jones. She had worked at North MS Medical Center-West Point as an Emergency Room Admissions Clerk for 10 years, and was a member of the Baptist Faith. Dorothy Jean Jones Wardlaw married Clarence Michael Wardlaw on December 8, 1972; in Iuka, Mississippi he preceded her in death on July 10, 2008. Graveside Funeral services will be Satuday, July 20, 2013, 3:00 p.m. in Bourland Cemetery near Fulton, with Brother Tyler Higginbotham officiating. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include three sons, Michael Wardlaw, II (Jennifer) of St. Louis, MO, Stephen E. Wardlaw of West Point, and Christopher H. Wardlaw of Arlington, TX; two grandchildren; Lillian and Trey; step-mother, Marie Jones of Iuka; two brothers, Eugene Jones of Iuka, and Stanley Jones (Rhonda) of Walnut; Mother in law, Clara Nell Wardlaw of Fulton. Preceding her in death was her half sister, Linda Jones. Pallbearers will be Perry Burt, Mike Burt, Kevin Burt, Daryl Burt, Clint Jones, Kirk Robinson, Chip Mills, Tim Frederick and Lee Frederick. Visitation will be Friday. 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
