Mr. Malcolm Lydale "Dale" Bigham, Sr. Obituary (1961

Mr. Malcolm Lydale "Dale" Bigham, Sr., 61, passed away on September 18, 2022 at his residence in Pheba, surrounded by his family. Dale was born on May 7, 1961, in Mathiston to the late Emmett and Peggy Bigham. From 1979-1981, he served in the Mississippi Army National Guard, where he was a generator and wheeled vehicle mechanic. He then began his career at Mississippi State University where he retired in 2007 with 25 years of service. He was currently employed by Oktibbeha County Hospital, where he was a Maintenance Technician. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends. He was known for his giving heart and never meeting a stranger. He was a proud member of the Pheba Masonic Lodge #565 and was a member of Pheba Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Sonny and Lynn Bigham. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 21, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home in West Point. Graveside services will be on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. from Pheba Cemetery in Pheba with Bro. Terry Rhodes officiating and assisted by Mr. Danny White. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Angel Bigham of Pheba: three sons, Lydale Bigham, Jr. (Aleetha) of Hamilton, Samuel Bigham (Lanni) of Thibodeaux, Louisiana, Jonathan Bigham (April) of Jemison, Alabama, Dylan Prisock (Jill) of Sturgis, three daughters, Haylee Smith (Mathew) of Sturgis, Katie Scarbrough (Brad) of Sturgis, Hannah Ratliff (Jonathan) of Sturgis, thirteen grandchildren, two sisters, Barbara Phillips (Lamar) and Brenda Washington (Bob), and two brothers, Royce Bigham (Linda) and Teeny Bigham. Pallbearers will be Kim Millsaps, Blake Garrard, Roy Watkins, Kenny Watkins, Joby Washington, Bob Washington, and J. R. Mobley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Royce Bigham and Teeny Bigham.
