Mrs. Margret Schmidt Fields Obituary (1939

Mrs. Margret Schmidt Fields, 79, passed away on April 5, 2018, at her residence, in Fox Lake, IL. Margret, was born on January 18, 1939, in Duisburg-Hamborn, Germany, the daughter of the late Johann and Anna Walburga Beckmann Schmidt. Margret worked as a Senior Cashier for the Army/Air Force Exchange and was of the Lutheran faith. She loved being outdoors and enjoyed life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She married James Murrel Fields in September 1983 in Columbus. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2014. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by the father of her children: Jack Duwe, a son: Mike Duwe and a Son-In-Law: Ed Landwer. Graveside services will be Thursday, April 12, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. from Greenwood Cemetery in West Point with Brother Mel Howton officiating. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include Her daughter, Diane Landwer of Fox Lake, IL; two step-sons: James Rex Fields and John Wesley Fields, both of Columbus; ten grandchildren; Summer Williams (Tony) of Caledonia, Chase Fields (Roxann) of Columbus, Lakyn Fields of Columbus, Layton Fields of Columbus, Dalton Fields of Columbus, John Gavin Fields of Columbus, Sarah Landwer of Spring Grove, IL, Billy Landwer of Spring Grove, IL, Sarina Duwe of McHenry, IL and Jamison Duwe of Salem, WI; eleven great- grandchildren; Tony Williams, III, Austin Williams, Giovonnie Romani, Lofton Duwe, Preston Duwe, Aiden Romani, Riley Duwe, Parker Duwe, Melody Fields, and C.J. Fields. Pallbearers will be Tony Williams, Jr., Tony Williams, III, Bill Landwer, and Summer Williams. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 8217, Jackson, MS 39215.
