Mrs. Mary Ruth Winter Boeke Obituary (1929

Mrs. Mary Ruth Winter Boeke, 85, passed away on January 6, 2015, at Waverly Care Home in West Point. Mrs. Mary Ruth was born September 13, 1929, in Chickasaw County, the daughter of the late Wilton Joshua and Emma Elizabeth Griffin Johnson. She was a member of the West Point Church of God. She had worked as a cashier at Sunflower in West Point. She was married to the late Robert Lee Winter and he passed away in 1971. She later married Bill Moore and they owned and operated Moore's Restaurant in West Point. She was later married to Harvey Boeke and he passed away in 2003. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by One Sister: Mrs. Christine Melton and by One Brother: Mr. Harvey Johnson. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 8, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Mr. John Bauer officiating and assisted by Mr. Al Stockton. Mr. Scott Hinnant will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include Two Daughters, Valinda Foster (Gid) of Pheba and Gail Thompson (Doug) of West Point; One Son, Robert W. Winter, Sr. (Carol) of Steens; Twelve Grandchildren; Twenty-one Great Grandchildren; and One Great-Great Granddaughter; Four Sisters, Courinia Burns of Hernando, Gennell Lowrey of Gulfport, Ann Smith (William) of Houston, and Betty Mowrey (Leon) of West Point; and Two Brothers, Gerald Johnson (Jeannie) of Byhalia, and Gene Johnson (Helen) of Houston and Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Pallbearers will be her Grandsons: Cody Winter, Robert Winter, Jr., Craig Foster, Scott Foster, Wayne Foster, Hal Thompson, Patrick Thompson, and Ashley McClain. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gid Foster, Doug Thompson, Betty Ensz, Lee Ann Litwiller, Miriam Elmore, her Friends at West Point Church of God, and the Staff of Waverly Care Home.
