Mr. Mickey T. Reed Obituary (1957

Mr. Mickey T. Reed, 57, passed away on August 24, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Mickey was born November 21, 1957, in West Point, the son of the late Tilton Cloys and Jewell Cozy Vernon Reed. He was a member of Riverside Chapel Baptist Church. He was a X-Ray Specialist for Babcock and Wilcox Corporation in West Point for 27 years. He also taught night classes in welding at both the Mayhew and West Point Campuses of East Mississippi Community College. He was an avid outdoorsman. He was an accomplished crappie fisherman that made his own artificial fishing lures. He was the Past Master of West Point Masonic Lodge #40 F.&A.M. He married Donna J. Mercier on December 1, 1978, and they were married for 36 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and father-in-law. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 27, 2015, at 10:00 A.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Sallee officiating. Masonic Graveside Services will follow in Butler Cemetery near Shuqualak at 12:00 Noon. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include Wife Donna J. Reed; One Daughter, Samantha White (Tim); Two Grandchildren: Reed and Lacey Anne White; Two Sisters, Glenda Thompson and Shirley Thompson (Roy); and Three Canine Companions: Ruby, Rosie, and Ruger all of West Point. Pallbearers will be Kelly Bock, David Hodnett, Edward Card, Jeff Bond, Chris Reese, Tim Doss, Keith Kimbrough, and Phillip Kellum. Honorary Pallbearers will be Past & Present Employees of Babcock & Wilcox Corporation, Members of Tombigbee Bass Masters Club, Nurses & Staff of North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point, Nurses & Staff of North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo, and Dr. Edmund A. Miller, Jr..
