Mrs. Oline Cartee Obituary (1927

Mrs. Oline Cartee, 88, passed away on March 21, 2016, at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point. Mrs. Oline was born May 27, 1927, in Tupelo to the late Les Milton "Boss" and Betty Jo Burroughs Payne. She was a Baptist and an assembly worker for Blazon Manufacturing in West Point. She was married to Charles Edward Cartee and he passed away June 8, 2014. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Cartee was preceded in death by her daughter, Charlene Comer; a son, Larry Payne; three sisters, Jessie Williams, Beatrice Hutchinson and Lexie LaValley; and a brother, Milton Payne. Funeral services will be Friday, March 25, 2016, at 10:00 A.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Walter Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include One Daughter, Keri Cartee (Michael) of Tuscaloosa, AL; Two Sons, Donald Payne (Judy) of Laurel and Jeff Cartee (Donna) of West Point; Nine Grandchildren: Kristi Knight (Chris), Leslie Payne, Shandi Baker (Donnie), Dustin Payne, Taylor Cartee, Wesley Payne, Raegan Payne, Kevin Payne, and Kenny Payne; and Nineteen Great Grandchildren; and One Sister, Hosford Morgan of Tupelo. Pallbearers will be Taylor Cartee, Michael Fusco, Casey Holbrooks, Josh Holbrooks, Dustin Payne, and Wesley Payne. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mrs. Sara "Bitsy" Weaver, Dr. Edmund A. Miller, Jr., Dr. Timothy Whittle, and the Nurses and Staff of Dugan Memorial Home in West Point. Visitation will be Friday 9:00-10:00 A.M. at Calvert Funeral Home.
