Mr. Porter Floyd Bohon Jr. Obituary (1954

Mr. Porter Floyd Bohon, Jr., age 65, was born January 6, 1954 in West Point, Mississippi and was a resident of Starkville, Mississippi. He died Thursday, November 28, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus, Mississippi. Floyd was rich in ways many people have forgotten are valuable. He was full of grace and generosity towards others, never held a grudge, and had a miraculous ability to share joy with anyone who connected with him. He laughed often and with his whole face in a way that made others around him join. He saw the world through a lens that kept his life uncomplicated. He loved with his whole heart and practically served family, friends, neighbors, and strangers. He leaves a legacy of a deep faith, generosity, a love of rock music and MOPAR, a spirit of joy and laughter, and an unwavering decision to make lemonade out of every lemon life can bring. He is survived by his son, Trey Bohon of Starkville, Mississippi; his daughters, Deena Shelton (Ben) of Longview, Texas, and Jessica Allen of Columbus, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Miller Banks Shelton, Everly Grace Shelton, Zoë Jayne Allen, and Anberlyn Rayne Allen; sister, Patsy Bohon McAdams (Lee) of Olive Branch, Mississippi, and brother, Danny Bohon (Heather) of West Point, Mississippi, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and additional family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Porter Floyd Bohon, Sr. and Mary Walean Rustin “Rusty” Bohon; his daughter, Jenny Gayle Bohon; and his son-in-law, Christopher Hayden Allen.
