Mr. Robert L. "Bob" Reese, Sr. Obituary (1937

Mr. Robert L. "Bob" Reese, Sr., 77, passed away on November 4, 2014, at his residence in Orange Beach, AL. Mr. Bob was born October 28,1937, in Columbus, the son of the late George Shaddock and Beth Howard Reese. He retired after 34 years with APAC Road Construction, retiring as a Meterials Engineer. He was a Methodist. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, especially with his grandchildren. He married Nellie Mae Godsey on July 29, 1969, in Aliceville, AL, and she passed away September 4, 2004. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Carol Anderson, and by a brother, George Reese. Funeral services will be November 7, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Mr. Don Hooper officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include One Son, Robert L. "Rob" Reese, Jr. (Pam); Two Grandsons: Robert L. Reese III, and Jeffrey Conner Reese, and One Granddaughter: Molly Marie Reese all of Orange Beach, AL; Three Sisters, Betty Ann Ashmore of Indianola, Mary Ellen Swartz (Selvin) of Columbus, and Shirley Mae Ray (Jimmy) of Ethelsville, AL. Pallbearers will be Ricky Deblieux, Todd Stuart, Daniel Waldrep, Greg Swartz, David Carter, Richard Kimbrell, Keith White, Brandon Bolton, and Jim Ellis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Downs, Larry Hammett, Joe Hurd, Colton Deblieux, Jim Ray, Danny Carter, Keith Chandler, Charlie Schaub. Memorials may be made to Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi, 800 Avery Blvd, Suite 100, Ridgeland, MS 39157-5225. Visitation will be Thursday 5:00- 8:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home.
